Hi guys iv just fitted and new radiator in my impreza wrx 2007 hawkeye, firstly iv got no issues with overheating and the temp gauge shows everything ok. but after just doding my checks after filling it with new fluid iv only noticed that one fan just kicks in , i took it for a run still no issue and temp gauge says all normal. are both fans suppose to kick at the same time or just one fan at first. iv also checked and its plugged in too.

 

One fan is for cooling the other comes on when the aircon is on

 

It depends on the temp of the engine, car road speed & aircon use, below 95deg c main fan, 96-99deg c both main & sub fan & below 40mph, over 100deg c both fans & over 40mph.
