Default radio reception ??

Hi I have a 2012 Subaru 340r with poor radio reception ? it's the clarion head unit standard, but it struggles to tune in no matter what I do it doesn't even tune into Radio 1, can any one help

Hi make sure you have 12volts to your antenna amplifier

The antenna boost amplifier is usually pin 9 on manufacturers plug and usually yellow/black in colour

I have 2010 sti and changed the head unit not knowing about the boost amplifier...and was struggling to receive channels,once I connected the boost amplifier cable I had no more problems

Is this vehicle new to you? (just checked your profile - it is relatively)

Do all the other functions work as per owners handbook?

Is the aerial OEM ( not smaller Perrin aerial)



To start with, I would take the unit out and check that the aerial is plugged in the back properly.








Reason being a lot of these were supplied/updated with Pioneer Satnavs so it's possible the original unit was back fitted before sale.
