Evening guys just split a engine does any one know these pistons thanks

Found out what they were standard 1999-2000 pistons .. we have a receipt from api stateing full rebuilt forged engine

Many Imprezas are on their 3rd or 4th engine. How recent is your paperwork? How many owners since?

It's a friends car it's got a bit messy between him and the guy he bought it of .. prob best me staying out of it now

Yes car was sold as being forged by previous owner with receipts ect .. it's gone to a small claims court now

in all respect to your friend- dont hang your hopes on the small claims court,any settlement (assuming he has the means to pay)can take months or years to come through. over the years plenty of other people have been duped by the same misinformation as your mates car.
if the engines out and split he,s already saved a few hundred quid in stripping fees-if he wants to carry on with a rebuild.

Yes we have told him this it's going to be a long journey to get any were ... he has already got a new block and heads , this was when the sump come off
