Default 08 Legacy ST Diesel starting issue?

Hi,

New to the site. wonder if anyone can help. I have just bought a 2008 sport tourer diesel. great car, love it. I noticed yesterday that it was idling a lumpy. after a run of about 25miles I got home, turned her off. I had to move the car about 30 seconds later and she didn't want to start? after third attempt she fired up....

any known issues? can anyone shed any light? shes now on 106k with a full Subaru history

thanks in advance

I used to have one of these; the engine will go into regen to clear the dpf when it needs it; it then idles roughly for a while. They are nice cars, but be aware that they have some engine issues from 08 to 10.

Cool, thanks for the info chaps. yes great car, but finding out a few things that do make you worry. although its got a full Subaru history, you never know if some monkey has been messing with it....lol

Spoke to Subaru about the ECU reset for oil change also, that's another fun one.

Main bearing issues have normally shown themselves well before 100K miles
