Default 2004 estate NA exhaust fitment

Ive just bought a 2.0GX .... or GL .... or something ....... anyway, it was really cheap and should do me as a runabout for a bit.

Anyway, last owner put a daft massive back box on it and it sounds shocking.

Looking to spend very little (i.e. from a breakers) on a standard one to go back on, theres alot of turbos about but no NA's ..... is a turbo back box a straight fit onto a NA wagon?

It depends really - the N/A Impreza's have 2.25 inch exhaust from the second cat back so in order to fit a turbo rear box you need a 2.5 inch centre section as that is what the standard wrx (turbo) system is.
If the previous owner fitted this 2.5 inch section already then a stand rear box will fit (I've got a Prodrive rear box on my Hawkeye 2.0 R Sport wagon - sounds half tidy but not too loud).
Hope this helps
Andrew
