It will give you a bit better spool up, never seen any figures saying it was worth any all out BHP or lbFt gains.

I've been through ppp sports cat, to decat back to cat.

Don't underestimate the hassle at MOT time. For me at least the power gains were not worth it on a road car. I can swap my dp in about an hour and a half from when I start jacking the car up, but that's three hours out of my life changing downpipes every year, for 10hp - no thanks!

I was wondering this to. I have a sports cat and self mapped car, was thinking about changing to decat but recently I needed to change the turbo to dp gasket, and it was a chew on I don't fancy every year for mot time!

From what I've read and what people have said, the hp gains are relatively low on a 'normal' ish road car but it changes the exhaust sound which was main reason I was considering it.
