Fitting Sti Brembos to a Blob WRX Wagon (2004)
ATM my WRX wagon, nicknamed 'Tonkachi', has got:
BC coilovers
Whiteline 24mm ARB front and rear
whiteline anti lift kit
Now i really want to get to the wrx's main crux, the abysmal standard brakes.
I would like to know which year of STI Brembos to source for my car, having to use Godspeed Brembo fit kit etc.....
if there is anything im missing out on please shout
cheers

Hi
For the front , all year calipers will fit , 2001 to date , but if you get 2005 onwards discs you will need to get them drilled as from then the 2005 STi wheel stud pattern changed.
For the rears , you can only fit the gold brembo's as fitted on the STi between 2001 to 2007 , the black rear calipers as fitted from a 2008 onwards STi are different and can't be fitted to the earlier cars.
Hope this helps
Cheers Ian

The Brembo calipers themselves will fit fine if they're off a newage STi. If the rears you get don't come with discs, you might as well get the ones from <a href="http://www.godspeedbrakes.co.uk/impreza-ver-4-onwards-type-r/101-316mm-brembo-rear-discs-to-fit-the-170mm-rear-handbrake.html">Godspeed with the adaptor for the WRX's smaller diameter handbrake shoes. If they do come with discs that you want to keep, you'll need to get adaptors for your handbrake shoes.
