Default 2001 Impreza wrx turbo Exhaust header?

My scuby has been leaking exhaust from the front (mot note from last year, 2015)
My question is can I fit the aftermarket stainless headers with up-pipe without affecting operation and mot?
In other words, are there an cats in the standard headers?
The headers I'm looking at are on ebay and are twin pipes from each side of the engine, joining the underside of the turbo up pipe. Am I correct in saying the lambda sensor is in the turbo up pipe?

There is a cat in the up pipe to the turbo. But nothing in the headers. The Lambda sensor is in the headers just before the up pipe flange, the sensor in the up pipe is an EGT sensor.

If you're going to the trouble of replacing the headers I would do the up pipe at the same time. The cat in the downpipe is enough to pass the MOT with and it'll give you better spool.
