Evening guys looking to upgrade my turbo I have a V plate uk Impreza awd .. recently had it dyno,d at 252bhp .. it's got a ram air filter 440c injectors 255 walbro fuel pump and and a straight through 2.75 exhaust with a toyo sport back box ... I understand I will need to have it mapped but been offered a vf43 is this a good turbo ? I have a standard tdo4 would it be easier to go for a td05 18kg ? I'm not chaseing big bhp just looking to change a old tired turbo ...

Your TM and 440s are the limiting factor, so you'll be looking at around 330bhp potential.
An 18g is a 360+ rated job in the real world, and I'd say it's unnecessarily laggy for 330bhp. I think the VF43 is a comparable turbo to the 18g.
A second hand VF28 or VF29 would be a fab choice, but are rare-as and are getting old. As is a VF30 or VF35.
The Scooby Clinic SC32 springs to mind (if they still do it)...
