I'm looking to buy a Fuelab Fuel Pressure regulator for my 2006 Hawkeye WRX, which will be running IRO 380-400bhp with a 255lph Fuel Pump.

It seems, however, there are different part numbers. Can anyone who knows/has used one tell me if I should order a 515 or 525?

we carry 3 port versions (best value IMO) on the shelf as well as various adaptors / fittings / hose options dependant on your install

I'm running the Fuelab "Mini" 3-port version (it's really cute lol), with a parallel fuel rails setup, at 384bhp for 6 years now. Quality bit of kit.

BM, I take it you've not had any (high pressure) leaks with the gauge still in place?

I asked for mine to be removed after it was mapped - and the brass bung screwed into its place - due to not wanting to tempt fate and all that.

On seeing yours, I wish I'd have kept it in situ, now.

 

No not at all, when I've just been running etc it's at about 40-50 on gauge, but no all is well.

What was yours doing for it to b removed?

 

Nothing.

It was removed on my request, as I was advised by the garage that it has been known for gauges left in situ to be a potential weak point.

 

Ah ok, never known that to be a common issue tbh.
Maybe the cheaper fpr's?

 

Yeah, possibly.

It's no biggie TBH. Just that it does look cool in situ lol.

I still have the gauge - I can refit it any time, should I so wish.

 

Fuelab reg has been fitted to mine since 2008 with the gauge in place Joz. No leaks either.

 

Think I'll whack it back on tomorrow then, lol.
