Default Type R cat

Just had my type R MOT'ed and its failed on emissions. I assumed that the cat was in the up pipe to the turbo however looking at it there's just a OEM subaru branded pipe. The downpipe is aftermarket so I presume the cat on my type r was in the downpipe and has since been removed?

Can anyone confirm?

No the cats on the down pipe. All subaru's normally have 2 as standard. One on the down pipe and one in the centre pipe, I think that goes for imports aswell.

You just need the down pipe with cat. I'd recommend a sports cat.

Other option is a standard cat. If you post a wanted ad up I'm sure someone will have one knocking around. Here's cheapest new one found on eBay.
