Default Exhaust options? Advice

Hi all, i have a standard my04 wrx sti uk, it has the optional PPP kit fitted and im looking for advice on an exhaust sytem.

Heres the problem, do i buy new.. do i buy used.. or do i stick with the prodrive??

I plan on in the near future taking the car to andy forrest for his awesome remap, i want a full exhaust turbo back system so changing the up pipe wont be a problem. I also plan on installing the 255lph pump ive had in the house for about a month but as far as performance upgrades go that is it.

Is the prodive system that good its not worth changing (apart from up pipe?)

Are the cheaper exhaust systems any good? (Toyosport..japspeed..ect) or should i be looking more towards miltek and the likes.

2nd hand wise titanium (TI) exhaust can be had for the price of a brand new miltek system..

I really didnt want to spend a lot on moding this car....

But it has so much potential lol

Thanks for any and all replys

You dont need change the uppipe on an sti its only the wrx that has a cat. Toyo sports are ok but some find issues fitting them. Got a cobra track friendly on mine its quiet with normal driving but sounds nice on boost. Does not drone on motorway etc. If you do want a lot of noise the a blitz or rcm team ice will do the job. Either way 3inch turbo back decat will get you the most gains once mapped

HI.

I have a 3" Cobra exhaust on mine, sounds very good.

Why would you want to fit the 255lp when you have the PPP ?

Mine runs 436/385 on the same PPP fuel pump

So does the PPP come with an uprated fuel pump? I thought it was exhaust, silicone hose under intercooler and prodrive ecu only??

If i dont have to swap over the pump i wont😀

I was under the impression that prodrive up pipe was still very restrictive? If thats not the case then its a bonus and i wont bother replacing that section😆😆

Trick up pipe would be worth fitting. Even at that level with the standard turbo you'll notice it

Mine is a PPP, it had the fuel pump all ready uprated, i believe that to uprate the power to the proposed 305bhp, they have to uprate the fuel pump to achieve the desired bhp.

So in answer to your question you wont need to swap them over if it is PPP, not unless you really want to.
