Build your own. It's just a case of unscrewing some bolts/nuts, replacing a few parts with new and bolting up again. Plus you get a new, rebuilt turbo to boot. Lots of videos online.

If you buy the turbine & compressor from the company in the link, for example, they come as a pre-balanced set. Or just send the whole unit off to be balanced to any turbo company.
Ultimately it's just the compressor and housing that need changing. Makes sense to strip it all down and replace with new parts whilst it's apart. You can fit an upgraded turbine as well if you like. With the TD04/5 turbos, it's cheap and easy to rebuild them yourself. Not an option with the VF series AFAIK

Depending on wheel you fit do you not have to machine the housing too ?
True there will be drop in kits and like you say all you need is have it balanced,
There's a guy Craig Bellworthy who makes Billet VF

Craig Bellworthy on Facebook is really well known for his turbo's i've had 2 from him, and he's making a 3rd for me at the mo.
He made a td04 hybrid (larger than oem and billet wheel) and ported the wastegage opening, and hotside for maximum spool at a price much cheaper than anyone else.
Give him a shout on FB.

LOL
its a great turbo loads of midrange, but all my driving is round town, so its hold it in 2nd to 3k or feels a little bit flat, the quick spikey spool of the td04 was more suited to me,
dont forget ive come from leon k1 with a quick spooling turbo cira 320 bhp

Personally I think that my car is still actually too fast for where I live.if I want to release the beast I have to be extremely careful and mostly in the dead of night.
I had a td05 in a classic and that was virtually unusable in south East London.
What I like about my car now is that it's got real good driveability if that's a word.
The low torque gives the feeling of power, the decat gives the grunt and noise but also being 300 bhp it's got good mid range speed if needed.
