Default Cutting out problems!!! Help!!!

Running apexi power fc ecu... so I can't read the fault code that it throws up!

Car randomly cuts out. Some days it's fine some days cuts out numerous times. It always has a slight surge/dip in power when cruising at 70mph on the motorway (feels like your foots slipped off the throttle and gone straight back on again)

When it's cuts out completely takes several attempts to fire back up. Immobiliser is fine as when immobilised red light comes on

Here's a list of things I've changed:
Fuel filter
New 255 fuel pump
Injector cleaner
Always run on a full tank (vpower)
Brand new ht leads
Brand new spark plugs
Brand new coilpack
Brand new cam sensor
Brand new crank sensor
Checked all wiring connections

When it cuts out I get check engine light

When cruising and I get the dip in power I don't get a check engine light

Please help me before I buy a lighter and some more fuel

Model and year would help....

On classics the immobiliser can be a problem as well as the wiring to the fuel pump (as mentioned...)

If you have the hand commander for your apexi you can use it to check the sensors.

Car wouldn't start up today, just crank hit 1000rpm (ish) splutter then die. Kept doing it till it eventually fired and ran.

It's a 1998 sti v4

Still getting to grips with the commander but I can see sensors and they seem fine

tthe only thing i can think of would be the run relay for the fuel pump under dash by steering coloum, there are 2 1 for start/prime and 1 for running after started try that

The black plug under the rear bench seat?
Think this is the one madscoob was talking about.

Going to look at running a switched or constant live to the fuel pump to test that out.

I'll have a look at the black plug tomorrow under the rear bench seat 👍
