Hey everybody
A new guy with probably a common problem
So short version to where we are
Bought a 65k hatch for fair money
Engine gave up
Got a forged rebuild, mapped by teg 8k miles later turbo gave up bigger turbo fitted rcm catch tank installed
1k later throws a rod 90% road driving 10% on track (not hard pushed)
Reason unknown white residue in 1 combustion chamber
Options sell as is
Get another engine bought or built
Looking down the ej20 semi closed deck block route
Can anyone advise on what engine would be best as a starting point
And any heads up on what to avoid would be great
As you can imagine funds are not the greatest with my spend too date
