ELECTRIC SHOCKS
Well annoying. Changed the spark plugs last week to ngk iridium, that was fun. Put everything back, battery connected properly, everything looks fine but I'm now getting an electric shock everytime I get out the bloody car.... Anyone else had this problem? 2.5 Hawk WRX

Hahaha. I'm gonna start checking what I'm wearing when I get shocks but generally I stay away from man made fabrics. And now I close the car door by pushing the window so I'm not sure if it still does it. Knowing my luck I'll forget when I'm at a petrol station and the static will have built up so much I blow up the whole place.

I don't like pushing the window because of fingerprints and it doesn't feel as sturdy due to it being frameless as my older cars.
There are some tips here...
Basically reach up and hold the frame / touch some metal before leaving the car.

Both my Hawk and my Mazda do this every time you get out.
If it bothers you that much you can buy a car earthing strap like fuel tankers have. That way all static will be discharged into the ground.
