Default Type r rear arch rust

Morning all,

Just a quick question for the community. Does anyone have any experience with rear arch repairs on the 2 door impreza? My v3 has been off the road for around a year or so, parked up with the tiniest bubble on one arch...

...now I have a huge patch on either side! Usual place where the arch meets the bumper. One side is also going towards the front of the arch down by the side skirt. I'm prepared to pay for a decent repair as it's otherwise in good condition, or would I be fighting a losing battle and be better off finding another shell?

Thanks in advance.

You need to get the bumper off and look behind, as its possible it will need a metal plate welding in to replace the rusted area.

I had my rear arch done on my classic impreza, I had another classic with front end damage but the shell was mint so I cut the back arch section out of that one and had it welded into this one
