I've been doing this this afternoon and in the main it's easy enough except for putting everything back together. The cable for the reverse lockout is sat too low in the shifter. I can't put the lift up collar back onto the gearstick because the pin can't be put through into the lockout cable.

What do I need to do to fix this? Its not mentioned at all in Perrin's sodding instructions.

 

Anyone else had to deal with this?
