Stiff gearchange

Hello all, is the gearchange on 6 speed wrx hatchback normally stiff? Gearbox oil is fine, maybe a different type of oil may help? If so what type? Thanks

Is it stiff all the time, or is it better when hot or cold? Also, do you know what gearbox oil is currently in the gearbox?
