Default crankshaft sprocket issue

hi would a faulty crankshaft sprocket cause no spark symptom on a wrx 2006

You can get all sorts of issues if any of the pickup 'pegs' are broken/missing.

would one of them potentially a no spark symptom as car wont start have no spark replaced crank sensor for new one but still got no spark

you would potentially have no spark if one is broken off
