Default Newage exhaust & engine mods question

I picked up my 04 impreza sti a few weeks back (not sidetrack model). I want to get an exhaust and remap but I'm wondering what is the best to get? I think Andy Forrest near Edinburgh is good for mapping so will probably use him (based in Glasgow so he's pretty close anyway).

What I'm not sure is what exhaust mods I need to do? I want to keep it MOT friendly and preferably not have to swap out cats/decats every year, would prefer to get a good sports cat to save hassle. So for a 100% standard car, what exhaust items need to be changed (back box only, cat back, downpipes, up-pipe etc) in order to allow a level 1 map as per following link? http://www.andyforrestperformance.co.uk/58932.html

Is a map required for just a backbox so I can have a bit more noise until I get all the bits required? A standard exhaust is too quiet!

Just a back box no remap required. I didn't have a remap until I had a full turbo back 3" exhaust fitted. Then sold my back box. Just with an exhaust, k&n air filter and remap my car made 328/330.

To get that stage 1 level just get a sports cell, and then add an exhaust of your choice, panel air filter, plugs, 255 uprated fuel pump, if not all ready fitted, normally the PPP models have the fuel pump.

No need for an up pipe at this level.
