Hi all
I have a 55 reg impreza wrx sti 2.5 and I have trouble with my idle control valve (diagnosed by a garage ) the garage I used has had trouble sourcing the correct valve so I bought one off the same age car from a chap off here, but me not be very mechanically mined I can't find where it fits (personally I think it's the wrong one).
I have tried Google but my impreza seems to be totally different to the engines where the idle control valve is located
any help or pics would greatly appreciated.

In front of the black hose off the topmount intercooler two screws and a plug to remove get a new rubber gasket

 

Oops i could be wrong just looked at your pic im sure thats where mine was but 03sti

 

The one you have bought is from a car with a cable throttle, yours is drive by wire throttle.

 

Thanks for that I'll have to try and find somethin along those lines now then
