Forged or Cast? + Boost Question for newbie.

Forged or Cast? + Boost Question for newbie.
Hi All,
Just picked up my first scooby, a stock JDM 2001 Bugeye STI and its bloody brilliant.
My local Scooby specialist insists it does not have forged internals but all the comments on here seem to say pre 2002 they were in fact forged and not cast.
Can anyone confirm please?
Also, on a different note. In 4th and 5th boost pressure is hitting 1.5 bar. I know standard boost is 1.1 bar. Is this down to the lower octane fuel over here? Should I get it mapped to 99? Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.
