Keep hearing conflicting statements! + Boost question for newbie.
Hi all,
just brought my first scooby, a stock JDM 2001 Bugeye STI and heard conflicting statements to whether the engine in my car has factory forged parts or not.
My local Subaru specialist who really seems to know his stuff insists that it does not have forged pistons and rodes however I hear many things on the forums that the pre 2002 models are in fact forged and then after that cast.
Can anyone confirm?
On a different note, 4th gear boost rises to 1.5 bar, I know stock boost 1.1 bar. Is this due to the lower octane over here? Should I get it mapped?
