Default Can I drive the car with bigger injectors and sports cat to the engine mappers?

As above really, I've put some lateral performance modified injectors in my blob sti, and a sports car is going on before the car gets mapped.
But is it OK to to drive the car to the mappers? It's going to be going from Stoke down to Thwaites Developments 8n Warwick.

I know it is over fuelling as the engine has been started etc so it's going to have an initial running in map put on as it's a newly built engine.

No defo not. Bigger turbo yes as you just keep it off boost but bigger injectors need mapped in straight away. In fact the mapper would want to adjust it a bit even before you start the engine once bigger injectors are fitted.

Anyone know of a set of standard ones going cheap? I need to use them for a grand total of an hour and a half.

Only other option I have as I don't know anyone free wother a trailer would be to put some standard wrx none sti injectors in for the drive down but don't know if that'd make it run lean.

I drove 150 miles to Andy Forrest after changing the following on my old RA

Injectors - 440cc to 555cc
TMIC to FMIC
VF28 to SC38 Billet
Series to parallel fuel lines
Carl Davey PTFE spacers

I drove sensibly. Maybe I was lucky

Going from stock sti set up 550 pinks and vf35 to sc42 gt spec headers harvey upipe 3 port solenoid and 800cc Power Enterprise Injectors

Andy F says just fit adjustable FPR turn down to 2 bar and drive as gently as possible off boost, hes only 50 miles away from me.

I'm booked in on April 1st so plan to drive it then

What cc are the modified injectors ??

I went from a set of 550cc to 650cc and drove it to be mapped with no issues and the car ran perfectly fine as it wasnt a major increase.

Good luck with your mapping, Mark at TDR is a top guy and has done all my mapping on my cars with excellent results

I changed a few parts including injectors and turbo and drove gently to mapper. It's not a huge no no, just be best to map at same time but drive using gears and its ok

I wouldn't drive it anywhere, a newly built motor! to many variables with the injectors as well.
Either get the mapper up to it or get it transported.

It's not a new built motor. It's had just injectors and a sportscat fitted.

In a word, no....

Injector scaling will be out and you will bore wash the engine if its a fresh build as the rings wont have bedded in.

You have a month, plenty of time to arrange it being trailered or recovered to your mapper.
