Default Symmetrical AWD

Hey peeps. I'm trying to figure out something with my car, I've got an '05 Wrx and it's got symmetrical awd. I had the car jacked up with all the wheels off the deck to change the brakes and while it was up I decided to put it in gear to check for any knocks. On doing this I noticed that all the wheels apart from the near side front wheel was spinning. Is this normal on the awd system and something to do with the LSD or is there a bigger problem at hand. Just don't want to continue driving it if somethings broke.
PLEASE HELP.

Were you spinning the offside front?

Yeah the off side was spinning. I gave the near side a spin to see what would happen and it started to spin but at about a 10th of the speed of the drivers side. A mechanic I know seems to think that's normal and doing that because of the LSD. It's just with it been symmetrical AWD I thought all the wheels would have spun equal until there was a loss of traction. With the car been jacked up I'd AV thought the car would have spun all the wheels as there would have been zero traction there. But baffled to be fair.
