Default Worth upgrading HT leads

One of my HT leads has snapped at the point where it joins the distributor. I think it will be best to replace all four as the other three must be past their best. But is it worth spending the extra on an upgrade, e.g. Magnecor, or just get the genuine Subaru set?

The car is a MY00 UK turbo currently on standard power but I am collecting parts for turbo change/remap later this year, looking at low 300's.

Thanks

Nick

Classic leads are always hit n miss, just go fit newage coilpack conversion, a lot more realiable and better smoother spark and drive

For v5/6 you can buy a direct pnp loom off jt innovations, you just need to source coil packs from newage

Thanks, pity that JT innovations are not processing orders until 1st Feb.

Just to confirm: all that's needed is the loom and the 4 coil packs?

BINGO - got this done earlier today and what a difference: it feels punchier and the flat spots have disappeared. Thanks

I was hoping the conversion would cure a slightly high idle when hot (about 900 rpm) very slowly dropping to 750 rpm, but it would appear to be something else.

Lol, told you, and now you can run big Hp without worrying.

Try clean idle control valve maybe

Delighted it fixed things up for you - we've done loads of these conversion looms recently!
