I was thinking of getting my turbo refreshed/serviced and possibly go billet.
It's an SC42 twin scroll,to be honest I'm not even sure if it does have billet wheels, how would I know?
What sort of price would I be looking at for this?
For an indication on price, I saw them for sale at the NEC this weekend for £69. This was for the Subaru variants.
A lot cheaper than what I thought!
Would I be correct in thinking this isn't something I would be able to do without specialist tools and gauges?
Once a new wheel is fitted does it then need to be balanced ect?
What else is involved in a turbo refurb?
Sorry for all the questions at once lol just keen to find out if I could attempt this referb or best going to a specialist?
Just take off inlet and get a pic of blade, I'm sure will be able to tell from that maybe
cheers, thinking of taking up-pipe and headers off when I get some time off work, liked the look of the thread on here recently and I've been told wrapping will help with spool.

Well, wrapping will help keep temps to a minimum, I've wrapped my headers, uppipe and half of downpipe with tatanium dei wrap, but it's not cheap stuff.
Just need a turbo blanket for turbo which I havnt got round to just yet
