Hi all,

During low revs 1-2k and particularly on lift off I get a metallic whirring noise from my hawk, I am thinking heat shield? Thoughts?

 

Could be gearbox related. I had a similar noise on my wrx blob and it turned out to be a worn syncro and the bearings were shot on the main input shaft in the gearbox! Hopefully it won't be that on yours coz its a bit expensive to sort.

 

Thanks bud, I just had my clutch replaced and they had a good look around whilst it was dropped out so fingers crossed it's not that.
