Default Latest shape STi engine info required

Hi guys, just a quick one, the latest 2.5lt engine fitted to the new STi is it the same spec as the previous ones?

its different but nobody will tell you what parts are.
avoid and buy a jdm

pretty much same engine, clinic have stripped a few down already due to failures.

drop some decent pistons and rods in it, headgaskets and arp studs and sorts all the issues out

Real shame. It's a such good look car in my opinion and JDM Is real hard to find on the latest shape.

Personally the reason I am trying to avoid the 2.5 ltrs engine it's because I used to own one from new at around 2009 with engine failure with less than 17k miles on the clock.

I will keep on hunting then thanks guys

I wouldn't believe everything you read on here. My old 2008 sti shat itself at 30,000 miles and know exactly how it feels except I had no warranty on mine.
However last year I ordered the 2015 sti. Its a great car, I have no engine worries with it. If I did I wouldn't have bought it.
