Hi guys, just a quick one, the latest 2.5lt engine fitted to the new STi is it the same spec as the previous ones?

pretty much same engine, clinic have stripped a few down already due to failures.
drop some decent pistons and rods in it, headgaskets and arp studs and sorts all the issues out

Real shame. It's a such good look car in my opinion and JDM Is real hard to find on the latest shape.
Personally the reason I am trying to avoid the 2.5 ltrs engine it's because I used to own one from new at around 2009 with engine failure with less than 17k miles on the clock.
I will keep on hunting then thanks guys

However last year I ordered the 2015 sti. Its a great car, I have no engine worries with it. If I did I wouldn't have bought it.
