Yesterday I was going out so started car as normal and went to the petrol station not issues. After this the car wouldn't start. I could get the immobiliser to turn off and then notice the fob didn't lock/unlock the car either. Had to leave the car and managed to get a new battery but still nothing. Got a lift home to get my other key and this works fine fortunatly so what could be wrong with my first key?
The battery was changed within an hour so wouldn't expect the programming to be 'lost' but I'm not sure what else it could be? I don't have the pin and a it warey to try and reprogram in case it messes up the working key.

Duff fob or more likely needs programming in my opinion.

Thanks, fob has been working fine for the last year so I'll have a look at how to program so I still have a spare.

 

I had the exact same thing the other day. I washed my car on the drive, then moved off to get the other car on. when i went to lock it it wouldnt do anything?

The fob is only 14 months old and i thought the same, batteries. I used my spare to lock the car then tried that keys battery in mine. Still didnt work?

Left it about 30 minutes and went back out, still not working. Shook they key, tapped it against a lamp post etc....then, worked and has done for the last week without fail?

Weird, i have had some new batteries through so will change both keys as its possibly that on the way out
