Short block means bottom end ie no heads closed deck is just a thicker walled block good for high power builds so dont need to bother

Sticking an sti engine in will be more haslte to get it working correctly.
Id just get a decent uk engine and drop right in

Cheers for the help, is there a specific code for the uk engine?

Cant even remember where the coilpack sits

As above + any Version 5 onwards bottom end will mate with your heads and inlet manifold.
EJ205 engine code for a WRX, EJ207 for an STi.
Your manifold will have an off set coil pack to the passenger side.

Merry Christmas,

Mick
