Default Seized Hub/Bearings - HELP

Hi Guys,

My current project is an '99 Impreza 2000 turbo. This weekend I was hoping to roll my car out of the garage in order to give it a pressure wash (and so that my mate could do some work on his new project)...so last night i attempted to roll it out and the the brakes were seized (or so i thought) so i had my mate try to tow the car out and the rear wheels were just locked and slid across the ground. So I then took off the calipers.....and the wheels still wouldnt move......the nearside rear hub nut does come loose and the offisde rear hub nut will not budge at all. Even with an impact wrench.

When attempting to turn the offisde rear wheel by using a breaker bar on the hub nut the wheel moves about half an inch and then stops suddenly (almost like the play between gear teeth - but it does take a big effort to make this happen). On the nearside rear, the hub nut can come loose but it is impossible to make the wheel move even slightly.

The only thing i can think of is that the bearings have seized up the hub?

Just to sum up:
All calipers are off
Transmission is off
propshaft is off
one wheel can rotate slightly (half an inch)
Other wheel does not roate at all.

And I have done this with both wheels off the ground.
Very confused so any help would be much appreciated - If anyones got any tips on how to free up the hubs just to make it roll that would be great - im going to replace both hubs/bearings/driveshafts etc anyway so any quick fixes to make the car roll up and down the drive would be great.

Cheers.

I think I've just realised what I've done wrong.....I cannot believe I over looked that. I had no idea the handbrake mechanics is incorporated into the hub. F*ck my life.
