Hello Everyone, I am new to the forum, and am after some advise.

I have just bought a 2008 Subaru Impreza 1.5r. its a lovely car, and when new someone spent quite a lot on the extras, it has the xpack, wrx alloys pearl white paint etc..

Anyway, as much as I am loving the car, it just sounds so quiet. It has the 1.5 boxer engine (non Turbo), does anyone know of any exhaust options / systems that will make my car burble, and sound more as an Impreza should?

LI would imagine there aren't too many demands for modifying the 1.5L, your best bet would be to get a custom backbox made, which should set you back about £120 for stainless

 

That's the option I was thinking, I have had a stainless one made before for a previous car from Longlife. I was really pleased with the result.

I keep seeing posts online about uneven headers, and was unsure if i needed these ?

I think I will try a different back box and see how that goes.

Don't spend your money for the 1.5.Now if you like to do something then you can make a back box.
Ask at Chris Tullet exhausts,Alunox,Simsons racing exhasuts and JCWeldfab.
From personal experience JCWeldfab is my 1st choice but the others are very good also.
A question wouldn't be bad but remember it will always be an 1.5 impreza...

 

the burble will come from unequal headers which I doubt yours will have
