Default Passenger roll cage, safe or not?

I was looking at Cusco bolt in cages that allow you to retain use of your rear seats.

Are these a waste of money? Is there a better cage to retain use of your rear seats? Or is any cage that allows this going to be poo?

Dash dodger cages will cut your feet clean off if you have a side impact. They ain't worth a toss mate.
