Default bugeye wrx radiator fitting

hi im gona be fitting a new alloy rad to the bug this weekend is there anything i need to know about filling? ive gone through a ebay radiator in a few months and wanted to make sure i dont wreck this one.....

I've done an eBay rad in 25 months (4k) and now looking at aluminium rad too, how did you get on?

Ive been through 3 rads in 7 years, it happens. Ive tried decent branded and am now using £40 efforts from traders on ebay, touch wood, this one is lasting longer than the previous ones. I do think its just in the nature of these types of rads (alu and plastic mix) that it happens more easily.

3 in 7 years!!!! That's bad! Have you had a full aluminium one go?

Never sprung the money for a full alu one
I would bet good money it would be fine though.

I think that will be my next step....I've just popped one from eBay that ive done 4k in, don't think I'll be replacing it with an eBay one

ive got a full alloy rad now its bigger than standard and have had no probs with it atall....was probably the best and most sensible thing ive done with bug....
