Default Hawkeye gearbox fit Blob?

Hi there as above. My gearbox is crunching on my 2004 WRX Blob. Got the offer of a Hawkeye gear box with clutch.

Anyone know if this can be swapped?

Thanks Martyn

I think you'd need to make sure the new gearbox and your diff have the same ratio before you could swap. Someone will be along with an explanation shortly though.

Blob is 3.9 or 3.454 if you like, the hawk is 4.111 rear diff. I have a hawk diff in my shed you can have for free if your willing to arrange a courier for it.

I still have it in my shed, believe it to be a decent diff too, out of a car that got a 6 speed upgrade.
