Default Emissions Query

I put my blob WRX thru the MOT the other week and thankfully it passed first time - huzzah!!!

But I after I got home and checked the emissions report, I noticed that for HC and NOx it showed 0. Exactly.

Now either I have the worlds most efficent Impreza or there may be a slight problem.

I don't know the MOT tester, so there is no reason to believe he was doing me a favour. And I still have the standard up- and down-pipe cats in place.

On a different but related note, I had a chance to wind my car up to some high speeds safely. While on the right hand side of the speedo, a CEL came on. I looked a little into it and it basically said it was a little lean at the top end. Could the two be related?

The car runs fine all the time, never had a problem before or since.

Any ideas from you lot?
