Md321t turbo. 58mm or 76mm intake. Any real benefit going 76mm intake?

I believe the 76mm intake suits big top end power but otherwise causes poor spool and adds nothing but lag to lower power engines, as in sub 500bhp and well beyond the Ts capabilities.
