Default Plane mad Harry

Hi, I've got a totally standard 2002 52 plate blobeye wrx, its a very quiet engine and as done 73k, I don't drive it hard just the odd blast every now and again, the gearbox is a little crunchy compared to my previous car an st 24 mondeo, the question is what oil would you recommend for both the engine and gearbox, I have read other posts and they say different gearbox oil can make a difference to the smoothness of the gearchange, could you please tell me what are the right oils for engine and gearbox. Many thanks, Andy.
