Default WRX upgrade would it work?

Hello

Current mods are full decat with a k&n typhoon filter, I have now the following to fit, sti up pipe, sti tmic, sti 550 pink injectors.

My budget to stretch for a good quality turbo has been put back a little but if I add all the above and get a remap would this be okay? Push the td04 to 290/295bhp? Run this set up till I can afford a really good turbo then get a tweak once
Fitted?

05 wrx UK model
What you think?

I have just had my 06 hawkeye wrx mapped by Andy Carr. Running standard td04 turbo.

Mods as below:
panel filter
sports cat
cat back exhaust

It made 286bhp and 360lb ft torque

Running standard turbo you are going to be restricted to 290bhp tops. If you can afford it get a vf turbo from an sti, and you should see close to 350bhp

340bhp you're definitely going to be pushing stock internals, and the 5spd box (although that said I have been tempted by that route). You should be good for 295/295ish on the OEM TD04. A hybrid may be a better bet as they're not so much top end as bottom end and for me that is more appealing as I tend not to rag to the redline. I've seen TD04-H's get 315/315 but it's not so much the peak and more the big increase between 1500-3000rpm that really improves driveability and 'effortless' pace.
