Engine rebuild
Hey guys, so I've got a 2.5 wrx hawkeye with the dreaded headgasket and I think Ringland issue. The car stinks when driving and just started seeing the odd puff of blue smoke whilst driving at 70mph. so the question is, I'm driving from norfolk (norwich) do I head to api which is 3hrs drive or slow boy in Kent which is 2.5hrs away? I've seen some good stuff about api and have spoke to them and seem really friendly guys, but the car has been to slow boy in the past for remap and it's slightly closer?
I know the engine needs a rebuild with pistons and may aswell get the clutch replaced at the same time, but just need advise which route to go? cheers

Also may I add is it worth investing the 3.5k -4k on a 2.5 wrx just coming up to 100k? The car is clean and did drive well untill now. It's a 5 speed gearbox which is smooth too
Hi there
As above Bob said,is up to you if its worth to rebuild or not,we are been in same situation and we are went bit bonkers last time,if it has been worth there,I would say yes there
And who I would use,I would use Neil@Slowboy racing there,he build for us two engines(2.1L and 2.35L),not sure how much charging API,but I'm pretty sure,Neil is cheaper than API
Hope this helps and good luck there
Thanks,Jura
