Default Inlet pipe

Hi all,

looking at inlet pipes. Seems like quite a costly addition for Samco or Perrin. Was looking at the viper ones. Are there other brands I should be considering?

03 JDM Sti Exhaust and remap, all else standard

But, if you want more power from your motor, get a decent one. The cheaper ones may be ok for standard or mildly mod cars but could collapse in on themselves at big numbers

SWRD - Scoob worx.

Fitted one to mine as I thought the standard one mite be cracked/leaking.

Without removing the inlet manifold its a complete t**t of a job! There are youtube videos that make it look easy, its not.

That's BS, the things four ply silicon about 5-6mm thick.
How much vacuum do you think you should see in the inlet tract like?????

Yes I saw the icp jdm one (which is what I have). The manifold is coming off which is why I was thinking of changing at this time. Anyone know if a silicone ebay job it is an improvement over the Jdm? If the silicone one fails can you physically see it being distorted or does it just restrict airflow?
thanks
