turbo query

I was told when i bought my car that it had a td05 turbo but when looking at it i cant find any etchings or markings to confirm. Any idea how i could find out which turbo i actually have?

If its a genuine unit it will look like like this with ID numbers easily identified....What year is the car?

its an 03 plate wrx. Theres no markings like that on the housing. I'll try and take a picture of it.

If its a genuine TD05 it would of had to have had a front entry conversion to fit your car, it could be a cheap ebay special which from what I've seen have a smooth compressor covers with no real ID markings.
