3" Downpipe to 2.5" system
Hi!
I have recently had a Turbo let go on my classic 99 wagon, whilst it is away being reconditioned i have caught the modifying bug, so, i have bought a 2.5" res center and back box , then a de-cat down pipe, only they have sent a 3" down pipe with no reduction to 2.5" if you catch my drift, the supplier have said it will be fine to fit? I'm not so sure.
Has anyone done this before or know if they are right or wrong.
Thanks for your input in advance!

Both the center section and down pipe has the two bolt flange. No provision for cone style gasket , but they have supplied a flat gasket.

To be honest i haven't even tried to fit it yet, as i plan on returning it to Japspeed if its a no-go.
I'm fairly sure they will be funny with me returning it if I've tried to fit it.

take a photo of it so we can see what the setup is. If it's a flat flange with a bit poking out to stick a donut on you'll probably be OK. Or if you can't return it you can get a 3" to 2.5" reducer and stick a standard donut on it.
Looks like this:

I'm sure i've seen them in the UK too, one of the scooby shops or on ebay.
