Default Refit Standard Dump Valve

I have an aftermarket VTA valve on my 1997 WRX at the moment and want to refit the standard one, but I can't seem to find any info on which way round it goes. Currently I have a blanked off connector on the intake and the dump valve is connected to a pipe which I assume goes to the intercooler.

The OEM one has a small connector on the "top", which is obvious enough, but there are two more connectors, one on the "side" and one on the "bottom".

Can anyone tell me which connector needs to go to the intake and which to the intercooler (the bit I refer to as the "bottom" has no pipe on it in this image)?

i would of said bottom goes to intercooler and the one with pipe on it goes to intake, usually they have a arrow on it pointing direction of air but may not, little pipe on top goes to vacuum nipple on intake manifold.
