Default Will this go straight in...?

Hi All,

Looking at purchasing a TY752VB4CA gearbox and matching diff from a 95-96 Type RA... Will this drop straight into my 2002 Bugeye WRX?
I used to have a V1 Type RA and absolutely loved the acceleration of the close ratio box! I know the newage won't be quite the same due to the weight but still think it will be fun.

Just really want to know if everything else matches up or if I will have any problems?

Cheers
Sam

Do they not have a different bolt pattern on the bell housing?

Think the classic gearbox has less mounting holes not sure if it will cause any issues though.

rear shafts are likely to be specific to that older diff and also you need to mod the starter motor to fasten in place

Thanks very much for the info... apparently it is a "3.9 final drive" so assume I couldn't use the existing diff on my 2002 Bugeye WRX ? Not very technically minded when it comes to gear ratios etc

Apparently you can just swap the front diffs and it goes straight in without changing shafts and rear diff, the bolt pattern is the same there are just less of them, 4 on the classic and 6 on the newage.
