Default which boost controller

Hi All,

My first post here so hi again

I have spent few hours looking into few different types of boost controllers.

my car is r34 skyline and I want to get something reliable and future proof that also looks nice and is featuristic . i know skyline and subaru are different but boost controller is doing the same job on both

so far I have looked at hks, greddy , bltz , apexi , gizzmo and few others and all seem to do the same job .

the main one that stands out is the hks but pricey at £300 for the evc-s but I rather have the evc which is almost £500

next is blitz which also allows you to monitor other sensors which normally power fc allows you to see.

as it stands I am really struggling with any more cost but also want one so badly

so if you were me which one would you have picked?
are there cheap alternatives that are good quality and worth a try ?

I like to have the ability to monitor other ecu parameters from it

many thanks

Hi there

What car is yours ?

What other mods do you have ?

As most new age(01 onwards) can be mapped easily and their boost control is good enough up 1.65bar,beyond that you will need bigger MAP sensor and get car mapped via CarBerry ROM or EcuTek

On classic, you have few options, like go with Apexi PowerFC,which is old,but still is great,ESL Daughterboard which is awesome for money and have great features, then you have other aftermarket ECU like AcaTek,Syvecs etc

Depends on budget and on the car what you have and from this I would decide, because running only Boost controller and you will asking for trouble

Hope this helps

Thanks,Jura
