Diesel engine oil pressure gauge

Diesel engine oil pressure gauge
I have never fitted gauges before and I am trying to fit an oil pressure sensor and gauge to my diesel Legacy.
I think the OE oil pressure switch is under the oil filter but I haven't been able to confirm it, does anyone know ? I will be fitting an adapter so that the OE switch and new sensor can be used.
Also, I want to fit the gauge between the A-post and the dash so I am looking for a 12V supply that will power up witht the instruments. Any sugestions ?

If you remove the intercooler you will get better access to the oil filter housing, the OEM pressure switch is on the back of the housing, You'll be able to fit your adapter in there.
As for a 12v supply the fuse board in behind the lower section dash on the driverside. you'll be able to tap into the aux live for the aux 12v sockets in there.

Thanks. I can see what looks like the OE switch under the oil filter on the nearside. It looks like it can be removed by just taking out the oil filter but it may depend on spanner room.
I am looking for 12V activated with the ignition and not the AUX, so that the gauge turns-on with the instruments etc.
There will be something around the FB but I expect a lot of wiring in there and if someone can suggest a plug and/or wire to use that might save a lot of time. I've done loads of searches for weeks and cannot find any info.
